Protecting My Beautiful Driveway

I do love a nicely laid driveway. There’s nothing quite like strolling along that beautiful surface, knowing that legions are passerbys will stop and gaze upon your driveway in awe, beholding it as if it were an alien material of exquisite beauty not found on Earth.

Well, they cannot have it. I had Brisbane’s finest asphalt layers place this upon my driveway, so they can go and get their own.

But…what if they don’t? What if someone, perhaps even an entire band of rogues, arrives in the night and steals away with my precious driveway? It’s just that good. If I saw a driveway that nice, I know I’d be tempted to steal it. Not that I have any way of actually doing that, but evil finds a way. The asphalt is so very beautiful, and I never considered it before, but it’s so very close to the road. Visible to all, you might say. I suppose I could always cover it up at night, but that might be even more conspicuous. It’d just be a shame to waste the efforts of the noble experts in asphalt paving, Brisbane’s finest (as I’ve mentioned). Maybe some laser tripwires. Or…some kind of robot.

Or maybe I should sleep there, just to make sure. Yep, that’s the solution…
