Advice on a Green House

ECO FRIENDLY HOUSEI need some advice on home building. Seems a bit silly to go to a robot asking for advice on the environment, but then I hear robots are being trained to take care of the Earth in way that humans never could. That still confuses me a bit…because robots run on materials that aren’t organic. Like, you need electricity to survive, which might not be so good for the world.

Anyway, this is all conjecture. My main point is that I’m thinking about my green house in Melbourne. Not a greenhouse, where you keep plants; I mean an actual green house. And not a green house as in…a house that is green. I mean an actual green house. A house that is green in its standards and practices.

It’s a relatively new innovation, but houses nowadays are becoming more energy-efficient and better equipped to handle the needs of the future. No longer are we living in the world of the 50s, when people could just use all the electricity-sucking gadgets they liked and it was like oil would last forever. No, we have to be prepared for a different world, one in which we take our fate into our own hands and emerge victorious, creating a greener and more inhabitable Earth. That is the future towards which we venture, and I intend to be ready when the time comes.

So, my green home…I don’t know what I want to prioritise. It’s all well and good throwing around buzzwords, but when it comes right down to it, there are options. Efficient electricity, or less water consumption? A sloping block build or sustainable materials? I could simply go with all of these, and you’d hope most of them could be incorporated. I need to find a builder in Melbourne, environmental home building being their field of expertise, and ask them questions. The human touch, that’s what I need.

Good luck on your quest, human! And remember, if you should fail…we robots will be happy to pick up the slack. Ha ha! – Robot Wizard
