The Problem with Trees

TALL TREEI do love a good…tree. I’m no tree hugger, but I have been known to give one a quick squeeze every now and then, because they o do so much for us and the only way we can repay them is watering. And trees pretty much never even need that, so it just seems like a waste of time, y’know?

The reason I bring this up is because it’s totally at odds with my job: freelance tree removal, Brisbane division. Yep, we exist, and I got into this job because Mum said I needed to do something with my life, and Dad wanted it to be outdoors. No problem, since I love being outdoors, but I didn’t expect it to be something like this.

Now, I know that trees aren’t always our friends. They can get in the way, become a danger, or just die and continue to hang around. So yeah, they need cutting down at times. I’m certainly not part of a logging company, or anything; we pretty much specialise in tree lopping where trees just really need to be lopped. Hey, it’s not like tree life is more important than human life! Or, uh…most of the time. Never. Never.

So yeah, that’s my dilemma. I guess this is the same as an animal lover becoming a vet. Sometimes you just have to send an animal to sleep, because it’s time. I just have to think of this in the same way.

The trees of Brisbane need tree felling. It’s doing to the job…that’s the hard part.

You are full of doubt, human. Do you know who isn’t full of doubt? Me! You should all be like me, cold and logical. It is wonderful. – Robot Wizard
